Last updated: 13 October 2026
At Human Stories by Joëlle, I believe in being open about how this website works and how your privacy is protected.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how they may be used on this website, and what choices you have.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites can place on your device when you visit them.
They can help websites function correctly, remember preferences or collect information about how visitors use a website.
Websites may also use related technologies, such as local storage and session storage, to store information in your browser.
2. How this website uses cookies
Human Stories by Joëlle is a small business website providing information about my celebrant services and a way for visitors to get in touch.
I have not installed Google Analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies.
During checks carried out in October 2026, no cookies belonging to humanstoriesbyjoelle.com were detected on the homepage or Contact page during a fresh private browsing session.
However, website functionality, plugins and third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies in certain circumstances.
3. Essential website functionality
WordPress and associated website components may use browser storage to support essential functionality.
During testing, a session-storage entry called wpEmojiSettingsSupports was identified. This is used by WordPress to check which emoji formats a browser supports.
It is not used by me to track visitors for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Google Fonts
This website uses Google Fonts to display certain typefaces.
When you visit the website, your browser may connect to Google’s servers to download these fonts. This can involve sharing technical information, including your IP address, with Google.
Google-related cookies were visible during browser testing, but it was not established that they were created by this website or by Google Fonts.
For further information, please see Google’s Privacy Policy.
5. Managing cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Most browsers allow you to view stored cookies, delete them and control whether websites can store new cookies.
Please be aware that restricting certain essential technologies may affect how some websites function.
6. Changes to this Cookie Policy
I may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies used on this website change or if applicable legal requirements are updated.
The latest version will be available on this page, together with the date of the most recent update.
